Meet John Reid
John Reid is an attorney with over a decade of experience in Florida’s political and government arenas, beginning his career as Legal Counsel to a prominent member of the Florida Senate who served as the Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, Chairman of the Senate Community Affairs Committee, Ranking Member of the Senate Banking & Insurance Committee, and Ranking Member of the Senate Regulated Industries Committee.
An attorney in Florida since 2000, John has experience handling family and administrative law, Stop-Work Orders, state appeals and government relations. Additionally, John is a member of the Administrative and Government Sections of the Florida Bar.
John also served as Special Counsel to a prominent statewide trade association where he was responsible for drafting bills and amendments, providing thorough analyses of legislation, lobbying members of the executive and legislative branches of Florida government, and preparing legal memoranda and other documents.
John served as General Counsel to Lawson & Associates, a lobbying and communications firm based out of Tallahassee. Working with now Congressman Al Lawson, John represented clients before the Legislature, drafted legislation and prepared legal memoranda. The firm’s clients include a respectable list of organizations within the corporate, nonprofit and political arenas.

A graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, John is licensed to practice law in Florida and the District of Columbia and is admitted to the United States Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida. John currently handles matters before federal and state courts and the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings as well as before the Florida's Legislature and Executive Branch and state agencies.
John is active in the North Florida Community and hosts a weekly radio show on Freedom 93.3 FM devoted to the law, politics and current events.

John is married and has two children. The Reid family lives in Tallahassee.
